Believe it, or not, there are people in Guatemala. They may look a little different, or be a different race, but they are
still people. This page is dedicated to the many different kinds of people in Guatemala. First of all, the population of Guatemala
is 12,800,000. The number of tourists that they receive every year is around 1.5 million. Now, not all of the people in Guatemala
have the same lifestyles. Things that create this barrier can include the atmosphere you live in, such as urban or rural,
your wealth, such as being rich against poor, or between ladinos or indigenous people. Guatemala has a very young population.
In fact, approximately 16 percent of the population is under age 5, and approximately 26 percent of the population is ages
5 to 15. This is caused because the birth rate of children is nearly 5 times the death rate. Guatemala has about 45 deaths
for every 1000 births.
